March in National Craft Month

March is National Craft Month and is the best time to check out what’s going on in the world of crafting.  More than 10 years ago, the Craft & Hobby Association initiated National Craft Month as a way to introduce the popular pastime of crafting.

During the month of March, I will be posting tips and projects, offering the opportunity to participate in "make and takes", special classes and demonstrations.  This is a perfect chance to get together with your friends and family to spend some quality time while reuniting with a fun pastime. Crafting is a great and easy way to lower stress, learn, build self-esteem and simply have fun!

Accordian-folded Flower

Directions:
1) Cut card stock or Designer Series paper to 12" x 3/4".

2) Score strip every 1/4" the entire length of the card stock and accordion fold the score lines.

3) Adhere ends of card stock together (Sticky Strip works well). Let dry.

4) Holding the card stock with two hands, twist one edge of the strip into the center as shown to create a flower shape.

5) Adhere a punched circle to the flower center on one or both sides (Pop-Up Glue Dots work well) to hold shape in place.

Tip:
# Experiment with different sizes and score intervals to create the desired shape of your flower.

Happy Fall Y'all!

Summer is officially behind us and the new school year is in session… that means the holiday season is right around the corner! Now seemed like the ideal time to thank you for your friendship.
I am grateful for my family and friends. I sincerely thank you for sticking with me as your creativity grows and evolves. I also thank you for all the great things you do for others... I can only imagine the delight in the eyes of the receiver when they open one of your beautiful, hand-made cards. I understand that my role is to help those who help others and I am honored to be a partner with you in that endeavor.
